Sparkly Turquoise Beret

Hello!

So I missed a Fascinator Friday! No worries, I have another form of headwear for you! I bought this beautiful ball of turquoise yarn a while ago at Michael's. I had no idea what I was going to knit with it. But, with September here and fall just around the corner, I got the beret bug. Berets are so easy to wear, and can be so beautiful. I have quite the collection already, but amazingly nothing in turquoise! So I got out the knitting needles and looked for a pattern. I settled on the All Day Beret by knitting guru and author of Stitch N' Bitch, Debbie Stoller. I used a ball of Red Heart Shimmer in turquoise, but I've just started a new one using the yarn featured in the pattern, Stitch Nation Bamboo Ewe in Mermaid. So I'll have a teal beret in no time!

So here she is, my wonderful new beret!

This is the most accurate representation of the colour.

Love the slanted eyelets all over the beret.

I might do the next one as a spiralled pattern, instead of the zig zag that the pattern creates.

I had a really hard time photographing the sparkles. It's a mettalic thread running through the yarn.

The back of the beret. So pretty!

Well, that's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!
